## Indian companies in an insolvency resolution process

Type a company name. 2,544 Indian companies named in an IBBI announcement of an insolvency resolution process since January 2023, not yet in liquidation.

Resolution professional? If the process ends in liquidation, the company's internal data may still be an asset — see [the data of a company in an insolvency process](/pro.md). Or a [dated record report](/report.md).

### What this is

Under India's Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, a corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) starts with a public announcement published by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). A resolution professional then takes control of the company's assets while its creditors look for a resolution plan; if none is approved, the company is liquidated. This site lists the companies named in a CIRP announcement since January 2023 that have not reached a liquidation announcement.

### Who uses it

- **Creditors and suppliers** — is this company in an insolvency process, and since when?
- **Former employees and customers** — what is happening to a company I dealt with?
- **Resolution professionals** — see [the data of a company in an insolvency process](/pro.md).
- **Already in liquidation?** — see Indian companies in liquidation .

### What it is not

Not the IBBI, not a tribunal, and not a certificate. A company in a CIRP may still be trading, and many leave the process with a resolution plan. The announcements carry no headcount and no accounts: being listed here says nothing about a company's size. Companies are identified by name only: the announcement list gives no corporate identification number. Check the IBBI or the company's NCLT case for today's position.

**Resolution professional of this company?**

The internal data of a company that employed 50 people or more (Slack or Microsoft Teams archive, documentation, project histories) may still have value after it has stopped operating.
